We are family owned and operated. We personally know about the transition of placing your loved one into someone else's care. We lost our dear and beloved mother, mother in law, and grandmother littler over 6 years ago to pancreatic cancer . We had peace of mind while she lived at our facility Columbia Care Cottage knowing she was given love and care from our employees. She had peace at the end of her life and so did we. That's why we treat you like family because we lost apart of ours. We are passionately committed to make a difference in people’s lives by providing loving and compassionate care for our seniors. At Columbia Care Cottage, our goal is to treat every resident with respect and dignity while supporting them individually, enabling them to function at the highest level of independence possible.

How does Adult Foster Care Homes differ from assisted living or nursing homes?
Adult Foster Care offers the security of 24-hour care services
One of the biggest differences there are between private Adult Foster Care Homes in Hermiston and Commercial based assisted living facilities or skilled nursing facilities (aka: Nursing Homes) are that you will typically have one caregiver/CNA for every 12-18 residents. In an adult foster care home there is one or more caregivers/CNAs for up to 5 seniors at a time. This ensures that the nutrition is optimal for the residents as well as the care. If they need assistance during the night, a private adult care home can respond in seconds, because they have the time to provide quality care to each senior. Another additional benefit for the family of the senior that lives here is that the cost of living is much less than that of other retirement communities for the same level of care.
We are passionately committed to make a difference in people’s lives by providing loving and compassionate care for our seniors.
